LET Good Stock COOK FOR YOU THIS THANksgiving
New York’s favorite soup creators are here make your Thanksgiving a little easier this year. You might have too much to cook already, or you need the perfect something to bring to your hosts. So let Good Stock take something off your plate!
This year, we are making three special soups that are perfect for Thanksgiving and are available to pre-order for pick up from our shops. All are classic holiday soups - Butternut Squash Soup, Chestnut Velouté, and Oyster Soup.
Our Butternut Squash Soup simply tastes like the best of autumn. Squash is roasted with fall spices, simmered with onions and garlic, and then blended with olive oil to create a delectable treat. This soup is vegan and gluten free, so it’s sure to please the most picky of guests.
For those looking for something a bit more luxurious, Chef Dave’s Chestnut Velouté is the perfect solution. Chestnuts are roasted to extract that deep and nutty flavor, then simmered until tender. They are then blended to a fine puree, and the soup is finished with a little cream. The result is a refined and amazing soup.
Our last offering is a LeBlanc family holiday tradition, Ben’s grandmother’s Oyster Soup. A giant pot of Oyster Soup always meant Thanksgiving was only a day or two away. This soup is made with onions, garlic, scallions, celery, a blonde roux, oyster liquor and milk. The briny bivalves are added right at the end and cooked briefly. If you want to bring a little of New Orleans to your table this year, Oyster Soup is the perfect way to do so.
Prices by the Quart:
Butternut Squash $16
Chestnut Velouté $17
Oyster Soup $19
A quart of soup is 32oz, which yields five starter portions, or three medium sized portions. But these soups are so good, sometimes they turn into just one portion!
To order, please email Ben at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, November 20 at 12pm. The soups will be available for pickup at both our Urbanspace Vanderbilt location all day Wednesday, November 22, and at our West Village location all day Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day from 9am-Noon.
