You Need These Vinaigrettes In Your Life

What makes a good salad great is the dressing. It’s the component that brings the others together and gives life to the medley of ingredients. It’s also the thing that typically takes the longest to make when you’re preparing a salad. That’s why having an amazing dressing ready to go makes salad making easier than ever. And more delicious, too! If you gotta eat your vegetables, may as well make them taste great, right? So here are recipes for three of our favorite vinaigrettes.

 

Dijon Vinaigrette

Ingredients
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp dijon mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Preparation
Combine the apple cider vinegar, red wine vinegar, dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl and stir to combine. Add extra virgin olive oil and whisk thoroughly, until the ingredients start to emulsify (i.e., thicken and form the same color and consistency). Combine thoroughly. Keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

 

Lemon Vinaigrette

Ingredients
1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Grated Parmesan
Kosher Salt
Black Pepper

Preparation
Combine the lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. Stir/shake/dance to combine. Add the grated parmesan and salt and pepper to taste.


Sesame Vinaigrette

Ingredients
2 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
2 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
1 tsp Black or White Sesame Seeds
Salt
Red Pepper Flakes

Preparation
Combine the sesame oil, vegetable oil, and rice wine vinegar and whisking until thoroughly mixed. Season with a little salt and pepper. Add sesame seeds. Keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
