Why is Bone Broth so good for you?

Why is Bone Broth so good for you?

We started selling our Bone Broth due to popular demand from our home delivery customers in January of 2015. The combination of taste and health benefits have made this a hit ever since. But given that the broth is a nutrient-rich gold mine, we’ve found ways to work it into our menu more and more.

Why is it so good for you though? Here is what some experts are saying.

So many Minerals & Amino Acids - according to Medical News Today, the delicious liquid contains proteins, glycine, collagen, potassium, iron, and magnesium…just to name a few.

Skin Health - MindBodyGreen has taught us how collagen significantly improves skin elasticity and moisture content.

Muscles and Performance - glycine, the main amino acid in collagen, increases creatine levels, which provides strength for your muscles, skin, cartilage, blood, bones, and ligaments. It also stimulates the secretion of human growth hormone (aka, better muscle repair).

Gut Health & Digestion- a 2017 study suggests that people with inflammatory bowel disease tend to have less amino acids in their bodies. Incorporating more amino acids in their diets may help with some common systems like heartburn and GERD.

Mood & Sleep - research has shown that glycine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter, meaning it can: decrease anxiety, promote mental calmness, and help sleep!

Immune Function - modern findings have confirmed the ancient myth that a hot cup of bone broth can help boost your immune system and cure the common cold…great weather shouldn’t be spent at home sick!

Tastes good, feels good. What’s not to like?!
