It’s Director of Marketing Kerstin Hjelm here filling in for Ben while he’s out on paternity leave, and I am enjoying every last minute of this sun-filled weekend in the city! It has been sooo beautiful. I’ve been laying on my roof, wandering around SoHo and the West Village, and of course eating a lot of food. If you haven’t caught on, it is a Good Stock employee requirement: a love for good food. I hope you all are having a great weekend too!
With just a few weeks left in summer, we cannot get enough of summer produce! From our Peach & Tomato Market Vegetable to our many variations of tomato-centric soups, we have been getting creative with the fruits and vegetables that scream summer, as we love to do at Good Stock! Last week we got souper corny, and that means we are bringing you yet another fun creation. We could eat the sweet vegetable all day long!
We already brought you our vegan version of corn chowder, The Unknown Favorite, and this week we are bringing you yet another corn creation. Introducing Smoked Corn Chowder. This subtly spicy, yet creamy concoction is what sweet corn is all about! We think you’re going to love it.
We pre-launched our New Mom’s package on Thursday with a giveaway on our Instagram feed. If you missed it, the exciting news is that giveaway is still live! Entries will still be counted until midnight tonight.
In shop news, we are leaving the GrubHub/Seamless platform. You can get the good stuff delivered via ChowNow and Caviar. Long story short, but GrubHub/Seamless is just exorbitantly priced for restaurants, and we’ve noticed a significant drop in customer service as well. So, good riddance to GrubHub/Seamless.
I will be sending Smoked Corn Chowder right to my apartment! This one is so fun to get creative with. Excellent toppings include crisped bacon, grilled corn, poached shrimp, sliced scallions, and more. Let us know what you come up with!
I loooove our Mushroom Miso Soup! It is such a delicious light meal during the week, or when I am trying to stay more conscious after indulging (read: post-weekend!) I will be sure to grab some tofu at the grocery store to garnish this one with, and fresh scallions too.
We love following Jill Fergus on Instagram. As an editor at The Feed Feed, she has some of the best looking dishes, and her Instagram posts always leave us hungry. She just shared her take on a Chinese Smashed Cucumber Salad turned SOUP. I mean… how delicious does that sound? Cancel your dinner plans and head to her blog to make this immediately! We know what we’re eating tonight.
Nectar of the gods? Don’t make us blush! Thanks for the shoutout, @ceceoconnor!
