After a fun and indulgent holiday season, we’re lightening things up in January with nourishing, vegetable-rich soups that taste as good as they are for you. Whether you’re on a detox or just looking for a delicious, warming bowl of soup, we’ve got you covered. As always, all Good Stock soups are made from scratch with high quality ingredients, elevated cooking techniques and a whole lot of love!

On this week menus, we are serving up two of our most popular soups - Carrot & Ginger and Lentil Soup. They are kinda perfect for days that it feels like 5º outside. We’re ringing in the new year with great salads too. Our Good Luck Salad is made of kale, black-eyed peas, pickled onion, and a smoked apple vinaigrette. Get it for prosperity and deliciousness.

To make eating better in 2018 even easier, we have a new offer at both shops and at West Elm Dumbo. If you purchase any combination of soup and salad, we’re taking $1 off your order. If you purchase a large soup and a large salad, you’ll get $2 off. Never before has eating healthy and deliciously been so good.

For those that want to take clean eating to the next level, we created a new soup we’re calling the Clean Green Machine. It’s absolutely loaded with things that are good for you, and missing anything that might be bad. It’s made of broccoli, spinach, kale, arugula, and coconut milk to name a few of the main ingredients. And we’re garnishing it with a Chia Seed Pudding and a Flaxseed Crumble. Vegan, gluten free, so healthy, so tasty.

A Match Made in Heaven: Introducing Our Grilled Cheese Sandwich

There are few things better in life than a great tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. So I'm happy to announce that starting today, we're adding grilled cheese to our night and weekend menu.

Like most things we try to do, we're keeping it simple, but trying to make it better. For bread, we are using a Seed & Grain Pullman loaf from Bien Cuit. The whole grains and seeds provide a great nutty flavor when toasted. We are using cheddar from 5 Spoke Creamery, a wonderful cheesemaker located just an hour north of New York City. Starting today at 5pm, you can call one of these sandwiches your own.

For this week's menu, we're leaning Italian. We've got a great Tomato & Cannellini Bean en Brodo as this week's soup. This is vegan and gluten free and fantastic. Particularly when topped with basil pesto and some oven-dried tomatoes. And our salad will be Braised Broccoli Rabe with a spicy tomato vinaigrette. I love this dish and will probably have it every day this week.

Introducing Thai Week at Good Stock

Good morning!

We are mixing up the programming a little bit at Good Stock. Many of you enjoy that we change our menu every day, but there are more of you who say “I love that soup! When are you serving it again?” To which we always answer “I don’t know!” because we actually didn’t know (organization is NOT a strong suit of mine). Now, however, we do know. 

Beginning this week, we’re going to feature an ingredient, region, theme, or even a wild idea for one soup and one salad all week. For our first week, we decided to take a little trip to Thailand. Why don’t you join us?

 

Thai Crab & Fish Curry

 

We’ll be offering our Crab & Fish Green Curry and our Green Papaya Salad every day this week. Made with pollock, lump crabmeat, and fish fumét, this is a lighter, brighter green curry compared to traditional green curries. It packs a little heat from the curry paste and chiles, but the sweetness of the coconut milk balances it out. It’s one of the best, if not THE best, green curries I’ve ever had, and think (and hope) you’ll enjoy it too. And the Green Papaya Salad is a traditional and delicious sidekick to the curry. Dairy free, gluten free, healthy, and above all, delicious.
